About us
Meet our board
Our board helps guide Bridging the Gap Society for Autism with a shared commitment to supporting individuals with autism and the caregivers who love them. Together, we work to build an organization rooted in compassion, accountability, and connection.
Mary Richardson
President & Founder
Mary brings more than 10 years of experience in applied behavior analysis and a personal understanding of raising a child on the autism spectrum. As a BCBA, doctoral student, and mother of four sons, she founded Bridging the Gap Society for Autism to help families find guidance, resources, and encouragement during the wait from diagnosis to services. Her vision is simple: no family should have to navigate that journey alone.
Monique McKeen
Treasurer
A devoted wife and mother, Monique holds the caregiving journey close to her heart. One of the inspirations behind Bridging the Gap Society for Autism was honoring her late aunt, who cared for her own sister and was the backbone of their family. With her sister being non-verbal, she was more than her caregiver, she was also her voice. She put others before herself, offering love, strength, and support that her family will always carry with them.
Her aunt's memory is at the heart of Monique's dedication to caregivers. Through Bridging the Gap Society for Autism, she hopes to shine a light on their stories, recognize the love and sacrifices that often go unseen, and remind caregivers that they deserve care and support, too. As Treasurer, Monique helps guide the responsible use of donations and resources so Bridging the Gap Society for Autism can continue showing up for families.
Corjamin Richardson
Secretary
A husband and father of a son with autism, Corjamin brings his military service experience and an understanding of his own family's autism journey to his role. He values community and is committed to supporting families facing challenges his family has experienced. As Secretary, he maintains meeting records, organizes important documents, and helps keep board communications on track as Bridging the Gap Society for Autism grows.
